A Day in Windsor (aka Great Food and Great Scenery)

It was our last full day in England.  We were out quite late last night so we had a slower start to our morning today (intentionally).  We needed sleep!  Once we got moving, we headed for King's Cross to connect to Paddington, Slough, and Windsor.  Our day in Windsor was lovely.  We started with lunch at a pub on the High Street, then Windsor Castle, then dinner at an Indian restaurant (YUM!).

Rewinding to this morning, I woke up and needed coffee -- I had used the last of the coffee we bought on the first trip to Tesco yesterday, so I went out and got myself a flat white -- I think this is a very popular drink in London.  I liked how it looked (so swirly) and I loved the shot of caffeine:

After journeying to Windsor, we picked up our audio tours (like the good tourists we have become) and found a good spot to listen:

Then listening became having fun in castle crevices:

We learned a lot about the castle (so old! so many monarchs!) and got a few good shots with the blue blue sky:

We told the girls we wanted a nice picture for grandma:

I have no idea what happened here:

At the end of the tour, we found some guards -- I am sure this guard was photographed hundreds of times today but he was still very patient with us (I guess he doesn't have a choice):

We ended our time in Windsor with a delicious Indian meal -- Ellie really enjoyed her veggie Biryani:

All the food was excellent.

On our way back to the train, the girls met a dog (so much love!):

Eldri took a funny picture of me blogging tonight, but it won't upload and I am too tired to wait for it to work -- goodnight!  On to Paris tomorrow!!!
