Honesty time: it is late. Accordingly, this blog will be a little short on words but long on excellent pictures, which nicely chronicle our day.
To sum up: Noha, Maggie, Ellie and I started our day at Luxembourg Gardens -- gorgeous park and a really fun play ground!
I think every Normandale child we know who has been to Paris has had a turn on this equipment:
We took a few shots in the garden:
We met up with Donna, Eldri, Marit, and Siggy at Notre Dame which was particularly picturesque today in front of the blue blue sky.
We next stopped at Sainte Chapelle, which happens to be one of my favorite places in Paris. The stained glass is stunning, and when you stop to think that 70% of it is originally 13th century glass, it really amazes.
Next we had lunch at a lovely café.
We headed to Montmarte after lunch and explored the neighborhood a bit. We climbed the steps to Sacre Cour which was predictably awe inspiring.
Then back down and to Creteil where Noha's family made us the most amazing meal of home made cous cous, chicken, and vegetables followed by tea and dessert. They have been too kind and we so appreciate their hospitality!!!
And now, I am falling asleep as I type so I will have to end here. Tomorrow is our last full day in Paris (and on this trip) and we are determined to make the most of it!
PS - The blog title means something, I am just too tired to discuss it right now...
